COSI Fun

Somehow I found out about toddler workshops at COSI, the fun little science museum here in Columbus so I signed Keags up for a Yuck and Muck workshop. Jeff actually laughed at me because like his mommy, Keagan isn't usually a big fan of getting dirty. BUT he had a blast! We got there early so he got to play in Kidspace in the little houses, driving the ambulance, cooking food and playing in water. It really is so fun watching him run from thing to thing to play and it all being so new to him. We had so much fun we went back the next day with Daddy to get messy.

The slide was all fun and games on Day 1. On Day 2, he fell and busted his lip on it...no longer fun and games.

Chillin' in the ambulance (aka "wee ooo, wee ooo, wee ooo")

This station was so cool at the workshop - shaving cream and colored water

Making trails in the pudding (and he didn't even try to eat it)

Dirty boy

Playing in the water. Notice the tongue hanging out while he's concentrating - he gets that from his PaPa and mommy

Sweet :)

Keags would much rather play with veggies than actually eat them

Showing Daddy the tricks we learned the day before

A Day at Leed's Farm

Thanks to my friends for turning us on to Leed's Farm. I was hoping to go and pick out a pumpkin but we got so much more and had so much fun! We did hang out at the pumpkin patch but got to slide, roll and play trucks in the corn. The also had a zip line but one of the boys was too little for it and one was a little too big so we didn't get to enjoy. I guess there's always next year. :)
Whee!

Surprise, surprise - the child found a big truck to plow through the corn

I think he was a little unsure of this one but rolled all around anyway

Brought back memories of riding the Grandpa's tractors on the farm

Me and my baby :)

I love this one...so independent

I think at this point we were trying to get him to leave and he was fully ignoring us

We're COUNTRY

Oh, it's been so long since I've updated our blog but I've been inspired by my old friend who does such a great job with her blog, making the "ordinary" seem extraordinary and special. Soooo - I'm going to try to do a better job. I'll start by getting caught up. Dylan (and all of us, truth be told) are obsessed with Jason Aldean. Dill knows the words to every song and told us he really wished he could have a Jason Aldean-themed birthday party (seriously, who doesn't wish for that?!?). Aimee had been wanting to get him to a concert for awhile and we thought him playing at a fair relatively near us was a good opportunity - nothing too crazy or packed. So Jeff, Aimee, Dill and I headed to the fair and filled up on some good junk food and even rode some rides before the big show. Jason was fab, as usual, and we had a great time. I think Dylan had fun but think it maybe didn't live up to his expectations. Perhaps in a few more years (and inches) he'll be able to enjoy it a bit more!
