'Tis the Season

For football, that is! Does it not seem like football season just ended?? Lucky for us, it's here again and we're so excited to celebrate our first fall with our little guy (though I'm pretty sure he's not near as excited). The season always kicks off these days with Gordy's games at good old BHS. This is his senior season so who knows what we'll do with our Friday nights next year! The Redmen got off to a smashing start (literally) with a win and the Irish and Buckeyes started the season with victories a week later. Keagan had quite the Labor Day weekend with his first football game Friday night at BHS, participating in the flag raising ceremony Saturday morning at 8260 in our PJ's, starting the day in his Buckeye gear and switching midday to his gear for the Fighting Irish. I can't be sure but I THINK he looks much better in green. ;) Check back in next week for his first Browns game watch!

Keagan's Baptism

Keagan was baptized at Holy Trinity in Bucyrus, where all of the Teynors have been baptized, a couple of weeks ago when Tyler (Keagan's God father), came back to spend some time in town. We all went to mass in the morning where Keagan slept through half of it and then had the actual ceremony after. Keagan did great and only fussed a bit when the water was poured over his head. Afterward, Aimee (Keagan's God mother) had her very first cook-out at her new house for our family to celebrate with lots of food (and we thought we'd run out!), cornhole and lots of laughs.

Weeble Wobbles Weeble...

But they don't fall down! Or, in Keagan's case, sometimes they fall down. The weekend of his Baptism, Keagan showed us his newest trick - sitting! We were just hanging out at Aimee's and I let go of him while he was sitting there...and he stayed put! Ever since, they've been working on it at daycare and we play at home on the floor. He's getting really good...even picking up toys and steadying himself now while he sits. As Jeff says, "Pretty soon he'll be driving!"

More practicing...shaking a rattle AND sitting

Next on the agenda - rubbing the stomach and patting the head...

The time has come...

Our baby boy graduated from only the bottle to cereal when he turned 5 months old, a couple of weeks ago. We weren't sure how Keagan would do trying to sit in his little booster seat so thought we'd be really smart and just feed him in his Bumbo. THAT didn't work out so well - half the time was spent eating cereal and half the time was spent with him bent over sucking on his Bumbo. Not too conducive to cereal eating, as you can imagine! Anyway, he got the hang of it really quickly and we moved on to the booster seat pretty quick as well (thanks to the Graebners!). Keagan loves playing with all the little toys on it although it does make the feeding a little challenging. But if it makes it more fun for him, we're all for it!

Just getting started

"Hey Dad, do I have cereal on my face?"
