The Big Unit's Home Brew

Some husbands golf, some read, some collect stamps or assemble model airplanes. Not Jeff. When my husband decided he needed a hobby, he chose the very popular...BEER BREWING. A home brew store recently opened in Bucyrus and ever since then, Jeff's had a grand scheme to brew some beer (or, as he sold it to me, root beer or strawberry wine) so the day after Christmas, he and my dad headed out to stock up on supplies and the brewing ensued. It was quite a project, culminating around Valentine's Day with the chilling of the freshly bottled American pale ale. It actually turned out the way we think it was supposed to, although it's probably not a beer for the masses. As Jeff himself said, "It's definitely a sipping beer." Here's to the future of beer (and root beer and strawberry wine) brewing with the Beards!
